A day of fall on stock exchanges in Europe

The fourth day of the week ended in red on the main stock exchanges in Europe.

German DAX30 index closed at 11947.83 or a decrease of 0.42%. Losses in the sectors basic materials and retail were the reason for the outcome of the day. The greatest increase in value amid declining market showed shares of Infineon Technologies AG - minimum + 0.72%.

The French CAC40 index finished the day with only 4.59 points lower from opening or -0.09%. Here main culprit for the bad result was the sector for the production of basic materials. The poorest performance was achieved by the shares of Veolia Environnement, declined by -5.78%.

FTSE100 lost 0.42% of its value to end the day at 7271.37. Worst was the day for shares of EasyJet PLC (-6,11%), Rio Tinto PLC (-5,27%) and HSBC Holdings PLC (-3,96%).

US indices ended the day relatively positive compared to their EU counterparts - only - NASDAQ COMPOSITE close with a loss - -0.43%.

DOW JONES continues to advance to the level of 21,000 points, today approached by another 34.72 points.

S & P500 with a score of 0.99 points was on the verge of putting itself in the losing group, but managed to retain and preserve its place among the winners of the day.

Unemployment data in the US did not have a significant impact because matched the expectations.
